This is the first time I have written anything in quite some time, and my first time posting on this site. I don’t mind if you critique, but please be nice about it and if I need to make any changes to the characters or anything else, he helpful and not mean about it.

It was two weeks until Christmas and (name) Stark had just gotten back with the kids from doing some last minute Christmas shopping. You loved Christmas, it was your favorite holiday, and what made it even better was the fact Christmas day was also your birthday. The house was completely decorated inside and out with a large tree in both the family room and downstairs in the lab. The lights are shining outside, and Tony had left the Christmas tree on in the family room. You had a garland hanging from the mantle, and Christmas themed items all around the house, making sure everything was done tastefully. On the roof was Santa and his reindeer (at the kids insistence), the lights hung all around the edge of the roof. Later, you would sit down and enjoy your favorite Christmas movie ever-Die Hard.

You stripped off your six-year-old twin’s jackets and shoes and setting them the aside, and taking off your own jacket while Nick and Nora ran off. In the meantime, your ten- year-old son Anthony Jr was just getting done with his own things.

“Honey, would you mind putting those bags on the coffee table so I can wrap them?”

“Sure mom”, he said setting them on the table. He ran his hand through his dark brown hair and asked, “Can I go down to the lab to see dad?”

“Sure, just make sure nothing is flying around before you walk in.”

You knew he was going to take his time going down to the lab, and why not, he was just like you when it came to Christmas. He would probably use the time to look around for his gifts snooping around just like you were going to do now. Luckily, even though he was already a genius like you and his father, you had made sure to program JARVIS thoroughly enough where his gifts would remain hidden and he could not hack the system. Too bad, Tony had done the same thing to you. You searched through the living room, looking for one gift in particular-one from your husband Tony. You had been together for eleven years now, and he knew about your obsession with the holiday. Every year you had found all of your gifts and you were not going to break that streak. You saw nothing in the living room, and were searching the kitchen next, stopping to grab a Christmas cookie. You decided that you would pop a frozen pizza in the pizza oven and would continue to look for your gifts while you waited.

“Your present isn’t in there sweetheart” you heard your husband say, a smirk plastered on his face.

“Is that for me?” you inquired, seeing a large already wrapped gift in his hand.

“No, this is for your mother” he set the gift down on the counter and gave you a kiss trying to distract you-no matter how good the kiss was, you would not be distracted, and that was saying a lot.

“Uh huh, sure” you grabbed the gift and started to shake it, trying to figure out what was in the holiday festive box.

“(Name), think about it, I know how you are. Do you honestly think I would bring your gift out here knowing that you were home?”

“True” she replied, smirking “But I’ll find my gift, one way or another. So, did you see A.J, he said he wanted to see you?”

“Yeah, he came into the lab about five minutes ago. He tried to get me to tell him whether or not we had gotten him that new game he’s been eyeing. Luckily, with you as my wife, I knew how to weasel my way out of telling him. I think right now he is trying to hack into the system to find his presents”

You stuck your tongue out and headed towards the oven to get your pizza.

“Frozen pizza, honey I still don’t know why you like those things. They don’t taste good.
You know, I could have gotten you something better had you just told me you wanted pizza.”

You moaned. Your husband never understood your love for frozen pizza, or pop tarts. He thought both were cardboard crap. You at least also loved some of the higher end foods and deserts. “I like it because it’s yummy, here have a bite”
“No”.

You give him a pleading look, “Pretty please?” you give him the most pathetic puppy dog look in the world and as usual, he relenting taking a bite.

“It tastes like card board” he spits it out, “and it’s not delicious. You started to laugh, he had gotten sauce and cheese stuck in his facial hair, and it was just so cute.

“What…” he raised and eyebrow at you, and looked into the mirror hanging on the back wall. “Really babe, you couldn’t have told me?” he said wiping it off.

“No, where would the fun be in that?” you said giving him a wink. “So, did you fix those glitches in the suit?”

“Yeah, I just finished testing it when A.J walked in.”

“What kind of tests?” you asked. You hoped Tony wasn’t stupid enough to leave the house in the suit. Your seven month old daughter Caroline had been left at home and Tony was supposed to keep an eye on her while you were out.

“I flew around a bit just to make sure it was safe. It worked…” Tony stopped talking when he saw his wife’s face. He knew that face. It was her ‘I’m going to fucking going to kill you face’. He gulped; at least it wasn’t the ‘You’re dead to me’ face’.
“I had JARVIS keep an eye on her while I was working just in case she made a fuss. Now honey, she’s my little princess. If she had fussed or cried at all, I would have been back in a heartbeat.” he said, backing up. “In fact, I’m going to go check on her personally this very minute”, he said as he ran up the stairs.

You shook your head, sometimes you wondered why you married Tony, and you started to go run through why you did in your head. You finished your pizza and clean up, deciding you were going to wrap those gifts.

“JARVIS, can you play some music anything will do” she asked the A.I. “Of course Miss (name).” You sat down and wrapped one gift after another, writing names on the tags. They were for the rest of the Avengers who would show up next week. Bruce would arrive later that day with his wife Siobhan and their son and daughter Aiden and Lena. You would be happy to see all of them, especially your god children. Luckily, they were the same age as Nick and Nora so they could have fun together.

When you finished wrapping, you went upstairs and put them in the closet. On the way, you met you husband who assure you Caroline was alright and told you he would be back in the lab-he had promised Bruce he would make him some clothes that looked normal, but would expand when he Hulked out instead of ripping like they normally did. You headed back down stairs to see A.J and Nick looking under the couch for gifts.

“Why would there be any presents under the couch? Not much would fit under there.” You heard A.J say.

“They could hide a phone there” Nick responded back.

“Hey, what are you two doing?” (Name) asked, clearly amused by the sight in front of her.

“Nothing” A.J said. “Say, have you seen my phone?”

“Oh sweetheart, you’ll have to do better than that”, (name) said, smiling.

“I don’t know what you mean” Nick said innocently.

“I know you boys are trying to look for your gifts. But you are not going to find them.”

“Of course, I mean, anyone can hide presents in the living that would be obvious. How about in the basement?” A.J asked trying to be sneaky like his mom.

“Huh, I don’t know. If you were, I don’t know-your father, where would you hide it?” (Name) asked, she decided that if her sons were going to probe her, she would do the same.

“I don’t know could you give us some ideas” Nick asked.
“That’s good, pretty sneaky bro” A.J said.

“Yeah it is” you agreed. Suddenly, you got an idea, “Say A.J, have you seen the baby monitor?”

‘No”, he responded, knowing something was up.

(Name) started to search the room for the baby monitor, “Huh, you know I think it’s upstairs, could you go get it for me?”

“You have JARVIS; I don’t know why you would need it?” A.J said, raising an eye brow. He looked just like Tony when he did that.

“JARVIS is going to be busy with your dad, and I really need that baby monitor.” You say innocently.

“Alright.” He turns to his younger brother, “Mom is going to try to trick you. Don’t say ANYTHING” he warns as he goes upstairs.

“Thank you!” she yelled. She turns to her younger son and kneels down to his level. “Ok, so what is it going to take: I make sure you win at a snowball fight? I give you plenty of ice cream and candy for the next month? What do I have to do to get you to tell me where daddy hid my present?” you ask.

“What present?”, he responded, brown eyes gleaming.

“Huh…you’re right. Daddy would think you were too young to keep the secret.”

‘No he doesn’t” he said, a little offended.

You knew you almost had your little boy answering your question. You just needed to push a little further until he spilled. You felt a little guilty but you promised yourself you would spoil him later to make up for it. You knew he was a junk food junkie like yourself so it would be easy.

“No it’s ok baby. I mean I know A.J is a little older so daddy would tell him, but you’re still a little young yet. There is nothing to be upset about.” You walked away, thinking “5…4…3...2…1”

“It’s in the attic!” Nick yelled.

“Ha! Thank you sweetheart” you yelled running upstairs.

“Niiick!” you heard A.J. yell coming back downstairs. “JARVIS, tell dad that Nick blabbed where Mom’s presents are”.

Time skip a half hour later

Nick, Nora and Tony sat on the couch eating Christmas cookies. Tony had a bottle of Coke in his hands [(Name) had convinced him not to drink in front of the kids], while Nick’s Squirt sat on the table. Nora dunked her reindeer shaped cookie into her glass of milk and munched happily, while Catherine sat in her crib downstairs happily playing with her toys.

“I’m sorry; I could not keep the secret”. Nick said. He looked so guilty; it hurt Tony to see his son like that.

“Hey, don’t feel bad,” Tony said, putting his son on his lap. “Your mom is really good at rooting out information. That’s why old Cyclops was so mad when I got her away from SHIELD. He lost his best interrogator.”

Tony heard pounding on the steps and saw A.J.

“Hey, have you seen mom anywhere”, he asked?

“I would have thought your mom would be ripping the wrapping paper off her gifts by now? Tony responded.

“No, I’ve been standing guard by the door and she never showed up.”

“Huh, that’s odd, there’s only one way to the attic and that’s…wait. No…she wouldn’t go up there.” Tony pondered.

‘Where” Nick asked, curious.

‘Wait,” A.J remembered, “Wasn’t there that hatch underneath the solar panels or something?”

‘Yeah but she would have to climb on the roof…” Tony stopped, “JARVIS where is (Name)?” Tony asked.

“(Name) is on the roof, sir” the A.I answered.

“Damn!” he thought. ‘I knew I shouldn’t have let her convince me to install those things”. Admittedly, they were good to have if the power went out; at least they had some built up storage of electricity until the generator kicked on.

All of a sudden they heard (Name) yelling, “AHHHHH” followed by what sounded like Christmas decorations falling from the roof and something hitting the hedges in front of the house.

“(Name)!” “Mom!” “JARVIS, watch Catherine!” Tony yelled as he and the kids bound out the door. They found (Name) on the ground trying to get up. Before Tony could even get to her, Bruce was there, having just arrived. He and Siobhan were checking her out to make sure she was ok. Bruce had thrown one of the crushed reindeer out-of-the-way, while the rest were hanging down from the roof, along with the lights.

“What in the heck just happened?” Siobhan asked.

Tony looked over at his god children, and turned to A.J, “Hey, can you take all the kids inside and give them a few cookies? I’ll be in shortly if your mom has to go to the hospital.”

A.J looked over at his mother, she seemed ok, and he knew Uncle Bruce and Aunt Siobhan would make sure she was ok. “Sure, come on kiddies, who wants some sugar?”

The kids bound into the house, Nick and Nora looking back at their mother before they went around the corner.

Bruce assessed the injuries, “She will have some bruising, and I think she has a sprain, but luckily that’s it. You got lucky, (Name).” Tony picked his wife up and carried her into the house and upstairs, “Make yourself at home, you know where everything is.” Tony yelled.

Five minutes later, Tony came back downstairs with (Name) and set her on the couch, putting a pillow under her right foot. Bruce handed him an icepack, a glass of water and some medication for the pain. The kids had already explained why she was on the roof, and Siobhan and Bruce had just shaken their heads. They knew (Name’s) obsession with presents.

‘So babe, what were you doing on the roof?” Tony asked. He wanted to have a little fun with her.

“I was checking on the solar panels, I wanted to make sure they were not hot. They weren’t.” she answered nonchalantly.

‘Mom, you killed Rudolph” Nora said, she looked so sad.

‘I’m sorry baby. Daddy will find a way to fix everything” she answered, letting her daughter crawl into her lap, giving her a hug.

“Looks like we don’t have the best decorated house anymore.” Tony said.

“As I said before my love, you’ll find a way to fix it and make it even better than before.”

‘I wouldn’t have to if you hadn’t climbed on the roof so you could get your presents.” He responded back.

“I would never do that” (Name) said in a shocked voice.

‘Yes you would” said everyone else in the room, including JARVIS, even Catherine made a little sound.

“Besides, you could have been seriously injured and ruined Christmas. What do you have to say about that?”

“First of all, if you are trying to make me feel guilty, it’s not going to work. Second of all Tony, it’s your fault. If you hadn’t put my presents in the attic then I wouldn’t have been on the roof to try to get them. And you know there is one way you can guarantee that it won’t happen again. Gimmie” she said holding out one of her hands, making a grabbing motion.

Tony sighed, “Well how about this, I give you one of your gifts and you stay out of the rest until Christmas?”

‘Fine” (Name) said whining. “Now, gimmie!”

Tony went upstairs and grabbed one of the wrapped packages. It wasn’t the big special present from him, but it was big enough so he figured (Name) would not complain, especially since it was from the kids. He came back down and Bruce grabbed Catherine, giving her a kiss on the cheek. (Name) unwrapped her gift; it was a picture of all the kids, wearing their best clothes. A.J was holding Catherine, while Nick and Nora sat in front of A.J snow covering their hair, each holding a snow ball. Tony had gotten a photographer to come to the house while she was out shopping one day.

“Awe, how sweet. Thank you guys.” she smiled, a huge grin on her face. The picture was just so cute. Tony placed it above the mantle as the kids all gave her a hug, and Bruce put Catherine in her arms. In her head, (Name) thought, “Now how am I going to get the rest of those presents?”

Extended Ending

“I still don’t get why Die Hard is your favorite Christmas movie,” Siobhan said as she sat down after just making more popcorn.

The younger kids had been put down, and A.J was in his room since he was not allowed to watch Die Hard yet.

“Because Alan Rickman is in it and it’s awesome. Besides, I was a SHIELD agent.” (Name) replied. “Now shhh. Oh, come on... damn it Hans you need to get better people!”

Tony could not help but laugh, “Babe, you do realize that Hans is the bad guy right. You hunted bad guys down. He is a villain, something that Alan Rickman plays very often.”

“Yeah, but its Alan Rickman. Besides, Alan does not play villains, he plays very interesting people. Now shut up Ironass, or I’ll leave you for Coulson."
